Dating back to the 12th century, this sacred site boasts an 800-year-old legacy. Similar to the ‘Shila Murthi’ of Sri Channakeshavadeva of Belur, the idol of the deity is adorned with Shankha, Chakra, Gada, and Padma Hasta.
The temple, distinguished by Kusuri carving in the Hoysala style, stands as a testament to ancient artistry, captivating all who lay eyes on it. We hold firm in our belief that Shri Channakeshva, enshrined in Naginamane, showers his blessings upon all devotees.
Currently, the temple, including the Horalaya and Garbhagriha, is in a state of disrepair and necessitates urgent reconstruction. Guided by Sri Sri Raghavesvarabharathi Mahaswami, the management board, in collaboration with devotees, has commenced laying the foundation for the sanctum sanctorum in a spacious area adjacent to the temple. A comprehensive blueprint for a well-equipped temple has been drafted, estimating a cost of approximately Rs 1 Crore. We appeal to devotees and organizations alike for their generous assistance and cooperation in this noble endeavour. You help for fund collection is really appreciated.
